- Reformist website Kalemeh reports that Iran’s security forces have cut residential phone lines of opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi and his wife Zahra Rahnavard.
- According to the BBC, the Islamic Republic authorities have tried to jam BBC Persian's transmissions to Iran.
- Iran’s state-run news agency refutes reports that the government has permitted today’s protest rally. Aftab News earlier reported that Iran’s Interior Ministry had issued permission for today’s demonstrations at the request of Turkey’s president, who is visiting Tehran.
