- Nadaie Daroun website, close to Ahmadinejad: "Participation in the [run-off parliamentary] elections in which the candidates are the most corrupt ones is not a duty."
- Parliamentarian Mohammad-Reza Bahonar says Ahmadinejad's circular to the executive branch urging them not to follow the orders of the parliament "another sign of Ahmadinejad resisting the law."

- In response to Russia’s ambassador to Tehran stating that Iran may under certain conditions accept the Additional Protocol, Foreign Ministry Spokesmen Ramin Mehmanparast says the only individual who can make statements on behalf of the Islamic Republic is Said Jalili.
Economy
- Deputy Oil Minister Abd al-Hossein Bayat says the government has earmarked $10 billion for development of the petrochemical industry.
- Jomhouri-ye Eslami's editorial slams the government's fiscal policy, and accuses the government of not promoting the private sector.
- Yahya Al-e Eshaq, Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry director, says the "prices in the market are not normal... the rising prices and profiteering has angered both the people and the authorities. The government has earmarked $24 billion to correct the price structure…”
- According to Hadaf va Eqtesad, $10 billion of this budget is allocated to purchase food items to control the price at the domestic market.
- Abrar describes public gatherings in front of internet cafes in southern Tehran as a sign of negative implication of subsidy reforms. The paper says low-income people want to send emails to the government arguing they are entitled to cash handouts.
- Economist Mohammad Khosh-Chehreh says the purchasing power of the people has been reduced by 50%.
- Asr-e Iran releases information on the rising prices of foodstuff in Iran.
Trade
- Abbas Moemenabadi, Chief Inspectorate deputy, says some individuals in the banking sector received 100 million euro in credit to purchase Israeli communications equipment through a front company.
- According to Abrar-e Eqtesadi, the Islamic Republic and an unnamed Spanish company have signed a 1.6 billion euro contract to develop Iran's oil industry. The newspaper also reports signing of another contract with an unnamed Chinese company to transfer the technology to Iran's oil industry.
Religion, Culture and Society
- Khamenei issues a decree allowing use of Facebook, but warns that it should not be used to promote corruption, spread lies, promote sin and strengthen the enemies of Islam and Muslims.
