Yemen Security Brief

  • Local popular resistance forces, assisted by the Saudi Arabian-led coalition as well as Saudi Arabian naval vessels, retook Aden international airport on July 14 after extensive conflict for control of the airport. The retaking of the airport is a significant territorial gain as local popular resistance forces fight against the al Houthi movement for control of the city of Aden.[1]

Horn of Africa Security Brief

  • The United States Department of State issued a travel alert ahead of President Barack Obama’s visit later this month. The alert warns US citizens that the Global Entrepreneurship Summit may be a potential target for criminal and terrorist activity. [2]
