• Hojjat al-Eslam Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi, Chief Inspectorate head, says he will run for president "as a soldier of the guardianship depending on divine destiny and the situation."

Military and Security

• Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, military adviser to Supreme Leader Khamenei, urges Muslims to boycott American products and thereby "sanction" the United States.
• Ramezan Sharif, Revolutionary Guards Public Relations commander, slams "abuse" and "manipulation" of Revolutionary Guards commander Jafari's statements concerning Iran's military presence in Syria. He adds: "He [Jafari] considered intellectual and advisory assistance, and transfer of experiences to Syria, as a part of the resistance chain against the Zionist regime and as a source of pride for the Islamic Republic of Iran..." Sharif added that the Islamic Republic has Army and Revolutionary Guards military attaches in fifteen countries of the world, including Syria and Lebanon..."
• According to Jaras, close to the Green Movement, one of Iranian citizens abducted by the Free Syrian Army is a certain Commander Khorram.
• Mohsen Rezaei, former commander of the Revolutionary Guards, says Libya stopped its missile exports to Iran in the 1980's because Iran did not target Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
• [E] The Iranian Armed Forces displayed an optimized version of the Russian-made S-200 long-range air defense system during the military parades in Tehran today. 
• [E] A senior Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commander warned that any Israeli aggression against Iran would trigger an Iranian operation whose objective would be conquering Beitol-Moghaddas (Jerusalem).

• According to the 598 website, the people of Qom do not rent apartments to non-Iranian theological students because of "cultural differences."
